Chris Capuano must love Dodger Stadium. He i 5-0 at Dodger Stadium. With Sunday’s win he improved his record to 7-1. Mateo Treanor, 36, hit a home run. Is Mateo Treanor Capuano’s personal catcher?
Dodgers improved to a record of 32-15, best record in baseball! Congratulations to Jerry Hairston Jr.,who had a career-high five hits with one double and four singles.
And what about Elian Herrera? He has a nine game hitting streak.
I LOVE LOVE this A.J. Ellis video with Clayton Kershaw

Happy Veterans Day everyone! Thank you all that have served our country!
I posted this two years ago on Memorial day about Poppy flowers and these two Memorial Day poems here http://crzblue.mlblogs.com/2010/05/31/memorial-day-in-flanders-fields-we-shall-keep-the-faith/
I will be wearing a poppy flower to pay tribute to all those that have served our country.
A year ago on Memorial Day I posted this post: http://crzblue.mlblogs.com/2010/05/31/memorial-day-in-flanders-fields-we-shall-keep-the-faith/. It contains the two poems “In Flanders Field” by Lieutenant-Colonel John Mc Crae and “We Shall Keep the Faith” from Mona Michael. They are two powerful poems.
To all those that have served our country and specially those that paid with their lives, a big thank you! Like the poem “WeShall Keep the Faith” says “The blood of heores never dies.”
I found this list of Brooklyn Dodger players in service during WW11:
In addition from the Los Angeles Dodgers, we have Roy Gleason
Roy Gleason at Dodger Stadium during a Camera Day.
I lost my original post as a result of having trouble with the computer so better late than never.
Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day.
Thank you to all that have given the ultimate sacrifice and for those that are currently serving in the military. God bless you all! You are our true heroes !
I was wondering why all the red baseball hats then Vin explained it that all MLB teams were wearing. Then he recited a poem written by Moina Michael titled “We Shall Keep the Faith.” that was in reply to the poem “Flanders Fields.” We love you Vin Scully!
The second of three stanzas of this poem reads:
We cherish, too, the poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led;
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies
But lends a lustre to the red
Of the flower that blooms above the dead
In Flanders Fields.
I wonder how you all feel about the red hats. They will wear them again on 7/4 & 9/11. Dodgers will be in San Diego for 7/4 & in SF for 9/11. No way would I wear a red hat, people might think that I am an …Angel fan. Perish that thought. I would have preferred a patch or a red white and blue logo.
Two more days before I fly to Chicago for my first trip to Wrigley!!
Update on Manny: He is working out at Dodger Stadium while the team is away.
