What a weekend! My prior post said that it was going to be a busy weekend but I had no idea how busy!

Dodger Season ticket holders in the last two rows of Top Deck are displaced
Dodgers are breaking our hearts and our season ticket family my removing the last two rows (R& P) of the Top Deck. I felt like they served me an eviction noticed when I got the call on Wednesday
I think instead of a call the day before they opened Select A Seat meetings for Season ticket holders, we should have been notified way before. The Dodgers said that they were holding rows O & N for the displaced fans yet when I went yesterday the only open seats in my section (3) on what will now be the last row (O) were three seats.
I will miss having my season ticket family together. I will miss having my friend Lorena next to me watching the game while we make plans for our road games. I will miss Ray and Ray Junior asking them “what happened in that play” since they also keep score.
I will miss Steve & Rhonda and their two little girls. Rhonda emailed me wondering what everyone is doing about the seats. She tells me “The girls will miss their best friends!!” Rachel likes to sit with Lorena and I and dance with us during Adrian Gonzales att Bat music. She also likes to sing with us Take me out to the Ball Game and “God Bless America”
I will miss Martha & her husband and kid. I will miss Todd and wife and their two sons. I will miss Chuck and Robin. I will miss Mary & Art. I will miss Joe and his girlfriend. Where is our Candy Man James with his dad and his two kids going to sit? Sad day for the displaced season ticket holders in the last two rows of the Top Deck. How far apart are all of us going to end up?
I was told that the removal of the seats is to expand the handicap area but that the sections with the wall will be Standing Room only. I feel like the casual fans that will take the “Standing Room only” are more important than the faithful season ticket holders. Another reason that I liked my last row is that is in the shade and I can watch the game standing up if I like without anyone in back of me.
Other season ticket holders are also moving because now instead of only the first row having a higher price, rows A thru H will have a higher price. Between those season ticket holders moving beyond H and the ones from the last two rows there are not many choices left.
I ended up with seats in section 3, the new last row. Ray ended up in Section 5. Rene in section 2. Margie in section 2 but moving to the handicap when those are built. Lore has an appointment on Monday, the earliest she can meet them. Jeanine and two other friends moved from row B in section 3 to row L. I have not heard from the rest.

NLCS Game 7: Cardinals & Giants at AT&T. Select a Seat Day at Dodger Stadium
The NLCS goes to game 7. I do like watching more baseball but not to the extent of letting the Giants back in the race. But the Cardinals have been so generous giving up runs. They have given 10 unearned runs in the postseason. Anything can happen now. Matt Cain will square off against Kyle Lohse.
What is happening in the Dodger World? Well after the Dodgers released Dave Hansen as hitting coach, the Mariners have just hired him as hitting coach. Funny tweet from Jon Weisman: ”How many times has Team A no-hit Team B and then hired Team B as hitting coach after the season? ”
No news yet who will be the Dodgers hitting coach. There is Mickey Hatcher or ??
Select a Seat this week at Dodger Stadium.
I rather the Dodgers be playing October baseball at Dodger Stadium but they decided to do “Select A Seat” earlier this time. I believe it was in January before. I got my email so my date is Thursday but I might wait until Saturday to go. We get to take a guest and go on the field to play catch. Also the left field gift shop will have 50% off merchandise.

Before I post some pictures from the last game at Dodger Stadium. I want to post this one from the night before. This is Rachel and Lorena. Rachel is four years old.
Rachel asked me “What are you doing?” I showed her my book and she says “Oh! you are keeping score!” Smart girl!
For the last game at Dodger Stadium, my friends Rosie, Iilda, Lorena and I splurged and sat in the dugout seats.
The only thing is that we sat behind the visiting dugout but that gave us also a nice view

The Last Regular Games at Dodger Stadium
I am getting sad that is the next to the last game at Dodger Stadium. No matter what like Frank Sinatra’s song said “It was a good year” Dodgers have new owners and will put a good product on the field.
This year my friends and I went to Spring Training for the first FanFest there. It was six women and a guy in a van. What fun hat trip was!

Three of us returned to Spring Training to watch a few games. We went to the four game series in San Diego that started with Opening Day there. San Diego is always a lot of fun.
Lorena, Rosie and I headed to Seattle. We saw the Dodgers get no hit by six pitchers but the Dodgers took the series. Rosie and I went to see our Bums at Cincinnati, a new stadium for the two of us. In between I went to the SABR convention in Philadelphia, haha I am thinking of next year. I meant Minnesota where I met up with more friends there and made some new ones.
There were some frustrating losses but win or lose, we love our Boys in Blue! Last night Rosie, Lorena Pricilla and I were reminiscing about our road trips and hanging out at Dodger Stadium. There were more good times than bad times. Maybe I am just remembering the good times.
What a fun game last night! Boys played like they are capable of playing but now they are running out of time. Here are some of my pictures from last night’s game. Some of the pictures Lorena took. Some days she just says “Give me your camera Emma” She knows I get busy keeping score and miss some pictures opportunities.
I have not met Cochito Cruz yet. I don’t have his autograph or a picture with him but maybe tomorrow! Today I will be at the stadium by game time. (I hope I hope).

Splurging on Dugout seats for Wednesday’s game.
Tomorrow Lore, Rosie, Ilda and I splurged buying dugout seats. We are going to be behind enemy lines but we will be there. Our friend Jeanine suggested we try some Santeria, voodoo dolls to bring bad luck to the Giants. haha.
La Gran Fiesta: Viva Los Dodgers and A Tribute to Manny Mota
Today is like Jaime Jarrin says “La mamacita de las fiestas” The mother of all the Viva Los Dodgers fiestas. Gates open at 1:30. There are lots of autograph opportunities at La Gran Fiesta. The autograph will start at 2 p.m. with Adrian Gonzalez, Luis Cruz and Hanley Ramirez. I am aiming to be there at 1:30. Hopefully I get to talk to El Cochito
Fernando Valenzuela, Pepe Yniguez and Jaime Jarrin will also be signing I hope Fernando signs something for me like maybe my ticket from Opening Day in 1981 or this picture
Manny Mota being honored for his 50 years in MLB
Manny Mota began his career with the Giants in 1957 out of his native Dominican Republic, and made his major league debut with the Giants in 1962. Before joining the Dodgers, he played for Pittsburgh and Montreal.
In june, 1969, Dodger Vice President Al Campanis pulled of of his greatest deals when he traded for Manny Mota and Maury Wills, giving up Ron Fairly and Paul Popovich in exchange. In late July of that year, Mota delivered his fist pinch hit in a Dodger uniform.

The Last Three Videos from the Baseball Prospectus event at Dodger Stadium
I divided the video recording into three four videos so here are the final three.

This one is 2:30 minutes. This is the one where Pensando Azul asks Vinny “what ring is he wearing”. He was wearing 1988 and he said it has been a long time.
And this is the last one. Here is where I asked Vinny if he is going to New York. It is more like I blurted it out.
Vin is right (he is always right) that the Dodgers playing in New York the night before and then the following night in San Diego is …well a little rough. Why is the schedule that way where the Dodgers play Tuesday and Wednesday at Yankee Stadium (why only two games?) and then Thursday thru Sunday at San Diego. Why not a day off on Thursday. I do hope something is changed where Vin can make the game but I understand if he does not.

I did not realize until the second day that the first person that asked a question is my twitter friend Pensando Azul. Neither one of us knew the other one was going to be there.

I was so looking forward to attending the Baseball Prospectus event at Dodger Stadium. Vin Scully was the first speaker. I video taped Vin with my flip but I have not upload that one since that would take a little longer. What I did upload first was the short videos with Logan White. Apologies that I could not video tape the entire Logan White part. I had used most of the time left in the Flip for Vin Scully.

Cochito Cruuuuuuuz saves the day! Vin Scully at Baseball Prospectus event
Thank you Baseball Gods for Cochito Cruuuuuuuuuuz ! Dodger Stadium went crazy when Cruuuuuuuuuz sent the three run homerun deep into the Dodger bullpen. The chant started again “CRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUZ” and an exuberant Cruz came out of the Dodger dugout to acknowledge the fans.
The night started with Andre Ethier hitting a two run homerun. After the game was over I was able to wish “good night” to Vin Scully who answered me back with a “Good Night”
The fireworks were extra special with the win and the music set to Mexican music. Lorena and I were singing along.
