It looked so humid in Atlanta that in the first inning .you could see Chad Billingsley’s  jersey already soaked.   He eventually changed but again, you could see that it got soaked so quickly.   

Weird road trip when you have Mark Loretta coming in to pitch in one game and in another you have Jason Schmidt come in to pinch hit, gets a hit, stays to run for himself and comes in to score when James Loney got a double.    You just never know what you will see in a baseball game. 

Dodgers take 2 out of 3 from the Braves to complete a road trip that saw them with a 3-4 record.   Not bad when they lost the first 3 against St Louis.  Good comeback Boys!

Sundays game was on ESPN  so good to see them do well on National TV.  Matt Kemp got a 3 run homer and drove in 5 runs.  Billz got his 11th win!.  He came out because of a cramp when he was due to lead off in the 6th but he pleaded with Joe Torre to stay so he looks like he is OK and is scheduled to make his next start.  I am relieved to read that!

Doug mientkiewicz was at Dodger Stadium working out.   I hope he will be ready to come back soon! although now we know we can use Jason Schmidt as a pinch hitter .     

Casey Blake was scratched from Sunday’s game with a bruised left wrist suffered while lifting weights after Saturday’s game.  Mark Loretta started Sunday.  Could it be that again Blake DeWitt will be coming back?   DeWitt should have a lot of frequent mileage by now.   He should just keep his luggage already packed. 

Is anybody hotter than Andre Ethier?   He already has 22 homeruns.   Wtih almost two months left to play, I’ll say he will end up with…..32..
