Here is the Bobblehead. To me the actual Bobblehead looks like Chan Ho Park. Here is also a picture of Chsm Ho Psrk & Ryu.
This picture fron Billingsley is from yesterday. He was in the bullpen when I got to the stadium as soon as the gates were open.
I am at Dodger Stadium on this Memorial Day, May 26, 2014. A day after Josh Beckett threw his no-hitter at Citizen Bank Park. Josh threw 128 pitches, 80 of them for strikes.
It’s been 18 seasons since Hideo Nomo‘s no-hit game in 1996, the longest span between Dodger no-hitters, surpassing the 17 years between Nap Rucker (1908) and Dazzy Vance (1925).
Beckett becomes the third Dodger aged 34 or older with a no-hit game, following Dazzy Vance (1925) and Sal Maglie (1956), both of whom also defeated the Phillies. This marks the 5th time the Dodgers have no-hit the Phillies, the most of any Dodger opponent save for the 6 no-hitters thrown against the Giants.
Beckett says he feels like he got run over by a truck but he says he always feels that way a day after he pitches.
We will miss hearing Vin Scully on this Memorial Day. From the Dodgers: Vin Scully will miss today and tomorrow’s games due to a chest cold. I already miss Vin reciting part of the poem In Flanders Field.

Post done on my iPhone. First time!
Early Saturday morning, Lorena, Rosie, Josie and I headed to Arizona to what else? Watch the Dodgers. For reading material I took the LA Times that luckily it had already been delivered. I also took the latest copy of the Baseball Research Journal (Spring 2014) Allan Roth is on the cover. One of the articles in the journal is titled “Was There a Seven Way Game? Several sources list more ways but Paul Hertz who wrote the article says in his family there are seven. I started going over them in my mind and I missed one. Hit, walk, error, fielder’s choice, hit by a pitch, dropped third strike, and defensive interference. Hertz refers to this seven ways “Ways.”
In Arizona, while keeping score, I was noting the different ways both teams were getting on base. In the Saturday game (5/17) where the Dodgers lost 18-7 there were four ways (hit, walk, FC and error). On Sunday where the Dodgers lost 5-3, there were five ways (hit, walk, FC, Error and HBP)
Paul Hertz examined the Retrosheet database and found that from 1945 to 2012, there have only been six major league games where batters reached first base by all seven Ways.
With the help of Retrosheet, Paul Hertz says that from 1945 to 2012 there have been only six games where batters reached first base by all seven Ways. Those six games are:
1. May 13, 1976: Texas Rangers at California Angels
2. July 9, 1979: Chicago Cubs at Atlanta Braves
3. May 1, 1988: Montreal Expos at Houston Astros
4. July 23, 1996: San Diego Padres at Houston Astros
5. May 23, 1999: Anaheim Angels at Tampa Bay Devil Rays
6. June 28, 2000. Baltimore Orioles at Boston Red Sox
Only the Baltimore Orioles were able to accomplish all seven ways. The other teams were a combination of both teams. The Orioles did it in 11 innings so no single team has been able to accomplish that in nine innings.

Early this year, I went to to one the monthly pizza projects that Hiccups Payaso puts together to feed the homeless. I have not updated my blog lately, but one of the posts I’ve been meaning to do is this about Hiccups project.
Hiccups Payaso along with all the volunteers _many of them Dodger fans meet at 6th and Gladys once a month. Members of Team Doryan were also there.
Below are some pictures I took that day.
Here is a video
Using public transportation to work, I do get to see a lot of homeless. I do notice the women that are homeless because it must be extra hard on them. There were these two particular women that I used to see at Union Station but I have not seen them lately. I remember some time ago, I went to use the women’s bathroom at Union Station and I found one woman there applying a wet cloth to her face. I could see bruises on her face. Sometimes I see women that probably have just arrived from somewhere, maybe a bus has brought them to Los Angeles. They don’t look homeless with the exception of carrying a lot of stuff but after seen them day in and day out, living on the streets start taking a toll on them
The next Hiccups Payaso pizza project is SUNDAY MAY 25h AT 1130 am 6 st and Gladys ave in downtown LA skid row.
From Hiccups Payaso’s facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/#!/hiccupsclown?fref=ts

El Niño de Oro, Clayton Kershaw is off the disabled list and back on the mound today against the Nationals. It was 1:21 A.M. when the game was over this morning at the Capital where the Dodgers were shutout 4-0 in a long rain delay
Dodgers are 4-3 on this road trip and 5-5 in the last 10.
Then Nationals are sending Right Handed Treinen.
Good luck Kershaw!
the skipper Kevin Kennedy is doing the radio game with Rick Monday today and tomorrow.
And Kershaw starts with a K. He retires the Nationals on 12 pitches. I am listening to the game.
I miss my boys in blue. I miss Dodger Stadium but they return home on Thursday for a seven game homestand. I don’t particular like four game series but the Dodgers will host the Giants for four and then the fishes come to town.
Thursday is Inflatable chair giveaway. First time the Dodgers do this. Saturday is the Old-timers game. OMG! I just saw the Dodgers tweet that Koufax will be at the Old-Timers game. Also, Fernando, Orel Hershiser & Gagne.
Here is the info:
